Butterknife is a three-piece rock band from Somerville. They are influenced as much by college rock stalwarts like R.E.M., Superchunk and Ted Leo as they are the 80s pop radio on which the band grew up. Their debut CD onetworeadygo was released in 2010, and this year Do the Needful, their free five-song EP, received positive press from the Boston Phoenix, Performer Magazine and The Noise and radio play from WFNX, WZLX, WMBR, and WMFO.
