We’re looking for community members who love PorchFest and want to help keep the event safe and fun for everyone. If you’re familiar with Somerville, passionate about music and the arts, or have experience with events and festivals, we’d love to have you join the team!
As an Ambassador, you are not expected to police anyone. This opportunity is simply to be eyes and ears on the ground and guide anyone who might have a question. We’ll make sure you’re well equipped to answer any questions the public may have.
Open Position:
- Ambassador
- Walk around and assist attendees
- Disperse information, like share QR codes for portable restrooms and Performance Map
- Be eyes and ears on the ground communicating issues pertaining to crowds, porches, and general safety.
Who we’re looking for:
- Somerville residents / familiarity with Somerville
- People with a passion for arts and community. Past PorchFest participants are appreciated!
- Strong and friendly communicators with organizational and problem-solving skills
