Now in its fourth year, ArtsUnion will continue to bring you large thematic markets. Similar to our Producer event series, we work with marketplace curators to produce signature markets to take place on the plaza in Union Square. This model enables us to reach out to individuals and groups to help them produce markets that will better serve the market vendors and local community.

Local emerging designers showcase and sell their sewn creations. There will also be interactive sewing areas, including a Swap-o-rama-rama: clothing swap with D.I.Y. stations. Boston Handmade Marketplace

An outdoor fair featuring work by Massachusetts artists, craftspeople and artisans associated with the arts group Boston Handmade and Etsy.com: helping people make a living making things. This fair promotes local independent businesses and individuals creating one-of-a-kind and limited edition handmade works in small studio environments, not factories. Produced by Jessica Burko. Somerville Rock & Roll Yard Sale

Sellers from Somerville and all over New England will be set up flea market style in the square with vinyl records, compact discs, used music gear, t-shirts and posters as well as handmade crafts, art and jewelry, vegan cupcakes and other snacks, vintage eyeglasses, vintage clothes and whatever gets dragged out of the closet! At last year's yard sale, the customer at left bought a rock & roll tie with "macho" printed on it. Indeed. Curated by Chris Daltry.

Urban Country Fair 2008
