ArtsUnion Ethnic Market Guide
As part of the ArtsUnion Project, the Somerville Arts Council has developed a self-guided brochure and guided tours to Union Square’s diverse ethnic markets. We'll tell you where to find squid ink pasta, coxinha (Brazilian cheese dumplings) and 30-pound fish from Bangladesh called Lakka—just for starters. Whether you’re looking for exotic, hard-to-find ingredients or simply want to learn more about the cultural and culinary diversity of Union Square, pick up one of these brochures and take a self-guided tour or come along on our guided tours! Brochures are available at City Hall (93 Highland Ave.) and at markets featured in the brochure and on the tours (see addresses below).

About the ArtsUnion Ethnic Market Tours
For each tour we will visit three markets, meet the owners, and explore the culinary diversity of each shop. While we visit 3 markets, we'll point out many others along the way.

To sign up for a tour, send an email to artsunionsomerville@yahoo.com or call
