“Growing in the City: Installations and Contemporary Art ”
The 1999 Windows Art Project presents two complementary exhibits which explore the transformation of nature in an urban environment.
Growing in the City Installations and contemporary art
Creating Eden An exploration of Somerville gardens through fine art photographs and literary portraits
To complement the debut presentation of Creating Eden, this year's Windows Art Project is organized around the theme of "Growing in the City." Using a range of media, 2 diverse artists expand our ideas of nature and the city. Their work reflects on how the ideas of growth, transformation, and regeneration relate to people, nature and culture in Davis Square.
