Reclamation Artists Present:

From May 12 to 20 a large scale sculptural installation will be open to the public along the Mystic River shoreline at Draw 7 Park (behind Assembly Square Mall) in Somerville. This interactive, multi-media art work will follow by one year the group’s exhibition, Reclaiming Draw 7, at this same site. MYSTIC RECLAMATION STATION will be imagined and collaboratively created by members of Reclamation Artists and focus on the fantasized Orange Line "T" stop.

Reclamation Artists, organized in 1990, is made up of Boston area artists, art professionals and architects to bring attention to parcels of neglected and endangered urban land through the creation of site-responsive, outdoor public artworks. The group aims to engage the public at an informal and experiential level through temporary installations that call attention to history and ecology and issues of public vs. private land use. R.A. is dedicated to affecting future planning and the way we build and inhabit our cities.
