Sugar Blood Jinx

Performance Date and Time :
Saturday, July 15 7:00 PM

Songwriter Eric Waxwood conjures an aggressive old-style sound on his National Steel Guitar. Scott Pittman (drums) and Matthew Murphy (bass) drive the rhythm section, while Jim Clifford adds harmonica, hoots, and hollers. Combined, it’s an alchemy of old and new, a reverence for Delta Blues greats such as Son House and Charlie Patton. But don’t get it twisted, this isn’t some precious museum piece.

My family and I moved to lovely Somerville from Sweden a year ago. I'm a singer of blues, soul, jazz, folk and gospel. I've been in numerous groups, bands and choirs and regular solo performances with my piano and guitar. The latter will be the set up for Porchfest but I'm also having friends, big and small, to play some numbers. A few of the great musicians I love and whose songs I will cover are Bonnie Riatt, Randy Crawford, U2, Lenny Kravitz and Eva Cassidy. I’m a social worker specialized in children, human rights, multiculturalism and interfaith dialogue. When these passions and community building blends with music and other arts I feel as happy as can be! Hope to see you Saturday.
