Multi-media Artist

Ankita is a designer who transcends the digital landscape to explore the realms of illustration, mixed media art, and music, embracing a versatile approach to creativity. Her inspiration springs from the rich tapestry of global cultures, influencing her work with vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and diverse perspectives.
 

John Lakov (b. 1994) is an internationally exhibited, Boston-based multimedia artist known for figurative works. Born in New Jersey, John’s mother taught him how to draw and paint from a young age and helped guide the start of his artistic path. He publishes his work under the name Sanidad Design as a tribute to his mother and Filipino heritage.

Hi there! My name is Dina Martinelli and I am a painter and art teacher in the greater Boston area. I graduated with a BFA in Painting from Boston University in 2015, and hold 2 masters degrees in teaching. In the studio, I love creating large scale acrylic paintings which have recently been about places and cities, and draw inspiration from maps and topography. As an artist, my goal is to create liminal spaces where viewers can escape the constraints of reality and enter a world of vivid color, play, and joy. Through my work, I aim to explore the boundaries of the traditional art world and push the limits of what is possible.

Lauren is a stay-at-home mom of two young children, who paints in her spare time. She resides in Somerville, Massachusetts, and enjoys painting scenes from her surroundings: the sky, local haunts, and her children. In high school, she enjoyed painting large murals, and studied painting and sculpture at Gordon College. She then spent over five years working with and teaching ceramics, including designing and overseeing several community ceramic installation projects at the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Boston and Roxbury.

Paige Mazurek is a multidisciplinary artist. Her work is a celebration of the everyday, drawing inspiration from observations within the American landscape and her own personal history. Memory, both individual and collective, is a continuous thread throughout her body of work. In 2011, she earned a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts + Tufts University and in 2019 she earned a graduate certificate in audio storytelling from the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies at the Maine College of Art.

Apple Jack is an exotic mime and multi-mixed media artist who spends much of their time crafting whatsits inspired by a lifetime of hypervigilance, staring at moss, and trying to understand what is both inside and outside of the glass box. Their work has been shown in galleries in Salem, Lynn, and Boston. They are a current member of Galleries at Lynn Arts. 

They moved to Somerville in September of 2020 to be closer to the weird art sculpture park on the Somerville Community Path. They revel in found objects, the sounds of crickets in summer, and the dreams of lost childhood. 

Music producer, audio engineer, sound designer.

BØLT, aka Christopher Bolte, is a German-born, Somerville-based music producer, beat maker, audio engineer, and sound designer. His primary genres are hip hop, pop, and instrumental beat music. As a producer and audio engineer he works with artists from around the country and the world to fully realize their musical vision and provide his signature musical touch through unique instrumentals and professional mixing and mastering.

Born in Colorado to Brazilian parents, and growing up in Rio, Brazil, Csekö moved to Somerville, MA in 2010 to pursue an MFA at SMFA at Tufts. In 2022, Csekö is a Somerville Arts Council grantee, a CTV MassCreative Fellow, and a Somerville Museum Community Curator, she was also invited as an AIR at Sculpture Space, upstate NY. In 21’ she received a SAC Visual Arts Fellowship and was an AiR at the Umbrella Art Center 20-21’ in Concord MA. In 2020 she was invited as a Visiting Artist by Emerson College.

Self-taught ever since I found Microsoft Paint!  Specialize in illustrations, character design, animal portraits, and of course, colors.

I have worked with a few local businesses designing merchandise art for t-shirts, etc.
